I understand your frustration. First I would like to welcome you to the DTVUSA Forum. I know money is a big issue with many in the current economy. I believe statistics show
OTA broacasters are gaining viwers and not losing them. One option you have is a Dish Network DTVPal
DVR. It costs $249.00 and would replace the VCR and
CECB in your system. You would eliminate two remotes and it has both
HD and SD outputs. You wouldn't have to replace your TV until you wanted to. Hope this helps a little.

Now the media is telling us that we have to add another gizmo (converter box) to our video setups! How much more complicated will this make recording off of T.V.? This is not an idle complaint! Networks could lose alot of viewers if they get frustrated with the hassle of trying to record their favoite shows with this combination of digital and analog technology! People have been adapting for quite sometime now to the new technology but soon people will get tired having new technology forced on them without anyone asking them how they feel about it. One letter writer said we would not be able to complain on the web if we did not have computers but computers are not perfect. My WINDOWS VISTA freezes on and off and at times pulls me off a website when it is configuring updates.
I feel that digital and analog signals should both be broadcast as they are now for both digital and analog users instead of making it all digtal! People learn at different rates. Some are computer whizs and some are not and I am not! People should be allowed a choice. COMPANIES should think about how their customers feel! If they don’t they may find themselves losing a lot of customers!
