Default Number of TV Households in US: 114.9 Million - Nielsen

Seems low doesn't it? Nielsen reported that TV households increased by the smallest amount in the last decade over the last year which was 400,000.

What's the population up to now? 300 Million? Less than 1 out of every 2 homes has a TV? That does seem low.....

Actually, the census bureau projects that there are about 114.9 million households in the United States, so that means that Nielsen is simply projecting that 100% of households in the United States have televisions.
305 million people (as per the US Census Bureau), with about 2.6 people per household (as per the US Census Bureau), would be about 114.9 million households.
Doesn't seem low to me. Seems high, if it is a measurement of television households instead of total households.
