Question Fox channel has no signal with converter box

I am 40 miles north of Eau Claire, Wisconsin I have a converter box connected to one TV that receives 13.1 and 13.2 (WEAU) and 18.1 (WQOW) both in Eau Claire and 28.1, 28.2, 28.3, and 28.4 (WHWC). But not 48.1 (WEUX), why can't I get 48.1?

The antenna is about 40 feet high and most trees are 30 to 40 feet.

Default Fox went to "NO SIGNAL" in the middle of American Idol

after the first four singers and nearly an hour of Idol last night, me and 3 friends watched fox go blank to "no signal" for the rest of the night. We made some phone calls and we were not alone. I tried everything, even old analog. Nothing worked. I assume this isn't preventable from the consumer end as all other channels on the converter box were working great. Why is there no news on this? Idol is the biggest show on TV and after waiting for a week and having a small party, it sure did stink!!! Will it air again, I know this happened to a lot of people and I can't find anything about it on the internet.

Were you viewing through a converter box or a digital TV? It may have been a problem with your local Fox affiliate losing a transmitter for a period of time.

Go to fox's website to catch a rerun of the episode. FOX Broadcasting Company and go to the American Idol section. You'll need a broadband connection.

the FOX affiliate in my area has a severely damaged analog antenna from a storm months back so they transmit their analog VERY VERY weak. (very low power). I found this out by calling them. Their DT channel is also running at limited power because they are working on a new system.

Also your TVFOOL results will help. Plug in your zip code
