Default Lost KABC & KTTV when rescan on Oct 29

I did a rescan on October 29, 2009 and lost 7.1 KABC-DT ABC and 11.1 KTTV-DT FOX. I've tried reset, double reset and re-pointed the antenna. Anybody have any ideas, seems to follow heavy winds?

Antenna: TERK HDTVo Antenna Pro
Converter: DTV Converter Box DTX9950

Any advice?

Oops. Nevermind, I see you re-aimed the antenna.

If those are two of your weaker stations it could mean you have a bad connection or a bad cable.

What's the best way to test that? You thinking the basic coaxial cable or the power booster with a small coaxial attached?
Thank-you,
Todd

Those are out of LA and are on VHF High. The Terk HDTVo isnt particularly good on VHF High, however if you were getting good reception before then who knows.

There is always the possibility that they are having trouble on there end as well.

I was thinking either a lose connection or a damaged coax cable but after EscapeVelocity mentioned those stations being vhf I think it's the antenna placement too.

Vhf channels are tough to get and at a distance the antenna needs to be in just the right place. If you can manualy enter the rf channel of each missing station and if it shows the signal strengh, try re-aiming the antenna until the signal strength meter increases enough for the channels to come back in then add the channel.

Hope that's clear because that's about the best I can explain it.
