I'm looking at buying a replacement for my old portable tv. I had a bit of a time at the house here when we upgraded to the converter box. I wanted to know if I buy a portable dtv that it will be able to receive signals too. Thank yall for your help!

A few online sellers are offering portable DTVs that apparently are OK, and at reasonable prices to boot. Check the buyer ratings, though, and you'll see that the attached antennas on many of them are weak at best. So unless you have access to a large antenna (which defeats the purpose of having a portable in the first place), or you're going to be very close by the transmitter(s) of station(s) you wish to watch, you can expect spotty reception performance regardless of which model you choose.
