Yes, he gave me suggestions on the antenna, pre-amp and coax and instructions on how to stack the antenna with the one we have. When I started to order the items I needed the last few posts were gone.

We get acceptable analog reception with the antenna that we have. The digital reception is not good with some channels not coming in or programs being pixelated.
My Post
Do we need a new antenna and if so can you give me suggestions on what to buy?

These are the channels we should get according to antennaweb.
Channels
A: 7, 7.1, 9.1, 9.1, 16, 16.1, 29
B: 40, 40.1
C: 49
D: 18, 38, 38.1
E: 18
F: 13, 21, 21.1, 33
G: 4, 4.1, 4.1, 62

I have attached the antenna map from antennaweb.

We live in a rural area with tall trees around our mobile home.

Your first answer
First all of your channels are UHF except for 4, 7 9 this would mean that you would need a UHF and VHF antenna, the problem with combo antennas is the fact that the UHF side is always weak. so I suggest a UHF stacked over a VHF combined with a Channel Master titan 777 pre amp. How far are you from transmitters and what present antenna do you have?
here is what I recommend for deep fringe 60+ miles from transmitters.
Cowboys Deep Fringe Prescription
how high is the antenna above your mobile home does the home have a metal roof if so you need as much height as possible. also what converter box or digital tv

My answer
The antenna is about 5 feet over the metal roof of the mobile home and it is about 30 years old. We have 2 converter boxes – one is a Magnavox and the other is a Dish TR-40.

Channel 33 is one we want and get with our antenna but not with the converter.

You told me the best antenna to buy, the kind of coax we needed and the pre amp as well as how to install it and a web site where we could buy it all
in one place.

Thank You so much for your help

There is PBS translator in Asheville which you should get better than Chapel hill. Go with the deep fringe perspiration this will give you your best shot at all of these, also tilt the 91-Xg to 15 degrees when you mount it its mount has the ability to tilt this would help in shooting over hills close by for the far off stations. use quad shield coax from pre amp to house combine the antennas with the channel master titan 2 7777 set the switch in the pre amp for separate inputs for UHF and VHF connect the antennas to the pre amp and the coax from the pre amp to the house. get as much height as possible over the metal roof of the mobile home. suggest at least 20 - 30 ft if you have a pole to mount on you could get a little higher. solid signal.com is the place to buy all this repost of deep fringe prescription below
Antennas Direct 91XG UHF Antenna for uhf Digital stations mounted 4 ft over a
Winegard YA1713 VHF Antenna. Channel Master Titan 7777 preamp to combine the two antennas signals it has one vhf and one uhf input and one output. a Channel Master 9521a rotator about 20 to 30'+ antenna height from the ground.

you lost me on all of this... I am antenna challenged. In your original post you suggested 1 antenna to stack with our existing antenna along with the pre amp. Then you had very simple directions to stack them.

stack the antennas direct 91-xg over your existing VHF antenna place it 4ft above it, place the channel master titian 7777 pre amp under the bottom antenna attach the 91-xg to the UHF input on the pre amp and your old antenna to the Vhf input on the pre amp then run the quad shield coax from the output on the pre amp to the tv inside the house. place the antenna as high as possible above the metal roof on the mobile home as it will interfere with the antenna. antenna should be at least 20 ft from ground that is top antenna. if you need a rotator use the Channel Master 9521a rotator. solid signal sells a kit that include the rotator and the wire. you will need a 6ft piece of coax to connect the 91-xg to the pre amp and a 2- 3ft for the old antenna as the pre amp can be mounted just under it. then enough of the quad shield to run into the house to the tv, run as short a piece as possible, closet to the distance needed that you can buy.
