[quote=Trip;20321]Piggie: My Chicago data is outdated. I don't have a contact in the area, and so that data is from when 7-2 was in SD. I think 7-1 should now be closer to 11 Mbps and 7-2 around 5.5 Mbps, just based on what the other ABC O&O stations look like.

As far as I know, channel 32 is not yet on the air. SiliconDust doesn't show it.

WCIU's power increase will happen when it happens. The guy from WCIU on the AVS thread won't give you a straight answer because he can't give one. There are too many variables involved.

channel 7 is not on rf 32 yet... they just applied... it does not mean it has been approved by the fcc yet....

sounds like the guy from wciu is being coy... like he knows but is not allowed to tell anyone yet...

also what about the issue with wgn tv 9 it went out again last night but reappeared this morning...

does anyone have an idea what is going on with channel 9

thanks to piggie and the rest of you....

You could be receiving interference from WXMI-DT in Grand Rapids or WISE-DT in Fort Wayne. This would explain your intermittent problems with WGN.

The guy from WCIU does not want to commit to a date that he cannot keep. If weather delays the crew that will replace the antenna, or equipment is damaged en route, or any number of other potential problems arise, any date given could slip. Just rest assured that it's coming as soon as they can manage.

Default wgn, wciu issues and wls tv

sent an e-mail to wls tv regarding continued signal issues...

i received the following response:

Sorry it's not happening as fast as anyone would like. WLS and the FCC are still working on the best way to rectify this situation.

they do not seem to be in a hurry to fix the problem....

still wondering about channels 9 and the 26's... how come i can get 23.2 without any issues, being broadcast from the same place as the 26's but have trouble with 26's...

channels 2, 5, 11,16,20,22,23.2,28,32,34,38,40,41,43, 44, 50, 54, 57, 60, 62 and 66 come in clear( i might have missed a couple) but have problems with 26's, 7 and now 9... i have called channel 9 twice, left messages and received no response...

do not think the 9 issue is interference from another station as before friday 7/3/09 i had no problem with it... just since this weekend... think they might be doing some kind of maintenance at the sears tower or someone else is and it is messing up the signal....

please help....

I went through the whole thread again and found where you are using an indoor amplified uhf/vhf antenna, but I couldn't find your TV Fool plot. Are you less than 20 miles from the broadcast tower antenna?
