have you tried to rescan your tv... if not and it was coming thru your cable tv then the issue is with the cable company... make sure your tv is set correctly to cable so it picks it up from there, it might be set for over the air which means without an antenna no tv....

Go to TV Fool
Enter your address or coordinates is you know them, and how high you can put up an antenna and enter that as antenna height above ground.

There is a link in bold with this before it "If you would like to share these results with others, this page can be referenced as:"

Copy the bold part and post it here.

Then we can evaluate the possible stations you would receive.

This is the only thing I've seen lately, FCC to conduct "a more thorough examination" of reception issues

Have your local news websites had any updates aout DTV lately?

Default wls update

it appears as though we have an update for wls tv channel 7 in chicago:

wls has requested from the fcc to move there frequency to rf 44.

WLS wants 473.33 kW ND at 1689' on channel 44.

lets see how long it takes the fcc to approve and get the antenna built....

let me know if someone hears different....

You are exactly right Mookie: WLS to Quit VHF Game

It'll take them a while to switch everything over.

Channel swap to boost Chicago DTV reception

2009-08-12 15:51:00

Chicago has been ground zero for reception problems since the DTV transition. Now ABC O&O WLS-TV is moving toward a channel change that should restore coverage to many lost viewers.

The FCC has issue a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking which would have WLS move from its current digital Channel 7 (which had been its pre-transition analog channel as well) to Channel 44. The move is possible because the FCC has granted a change for WWAZ-TV Fond du Lac, WI, which has been off the air due to being unable to construct its digital facility on Channel 44. It will instead build on Channel 5 and has proposed to add two digital translator to restore service to many of the homes who will not be covered as a result of its effort to move its transmitter closer to Milwaukee.

WLS has told the Commission that it will be able to increase its service population by 178,771 people by substituting Channel 44 for its current Channel 7.

The WLS proposal is MM Docket No. 09-146. Comments will be due 15 days after publication in the Federal Register and reply comments another 10 days later. So, some folks in the Chicago market will still have to wait a while to get ABC programming restored.
