Thanks to everyone for your kind assistance. I have determined after two weeks of exhaustive research that selecting an antenna is like buying anything "sight unseen'. I finally narrowed my choices to the DB8 and the Clearstream4. I selected the Clearstream4 primarily because of its size and the fact that both had 108 reviews on Amazon. The Clearstream was rated 4.5 and the DB8 4.0. I guess I'll know whether my decision was correct once I hook 'er up. Again, thanks to all for your assistance.

For UHF I still say the Antennas Direct 91-xg is the best hands down for a wider beam I use the Antenna Craft U8000 with a wineguard 4800 pre amp get 65+ no problem and picks up High VHf as well.

Thanks everyone. I received my Clearstream4 two days ago, and after moving the antenna all over the yard, I now get all local channels, including 18.1, 18.2,18.3. Also channels 7.1, 7.2, 7.3. I haven't connected everything permanently yet, but the PQ appears very good. Only a minor problem, the instruction sheet for the antenna leaves a lot to be desired, and you must devise your own method to to put the thing together.

Those bow-tie antennas seem to be under rated for their ability to pick up high band vhf channels. With a CM7777 pre amp mine picks up WKRC (rf 12) and WCPO (rf 10) from out of Cincinnati and those stations are 42 miles from here and only about 15.5 kw in strength.
It also picks up a signal (but no picture) from WSYX (rf 13) out of Columbus, Ohio which is 62 miles away so I believe them to be very under rated when it comes to picking up high band vhf. Note too that those results are from a attic installation at 25' up.
