    ION Network in NYC

Since the transition I've been unable to get my local Channel 31 which is the ION Network. I went to their site but there isn't any information although I will contact them if it is possible. (I'm also still unable to get PBS 21 but they aren't providing accurate information on their site so there's no way to configure my antenna for it).

Is there anyone else in NYC who is able to get it using just an antenna (not cable)? I think that it is a VHF channel (I always confuse the two) and I wonder if there's something that I ought to be doing to get it (although I get PBS perfectly now).

    Thanks!

I can get ION with either rabbit ears or with the antenna on the roof of my building. ION is broadcasting on UHF. I am unable to receive WLIW however. Many people cannot. They do not broadcast from the ESB, but from a tower located on the Nassau/Suffolk county border. Apparently, WLIW has applied for both a height increase as well as a power boost.

Cycler, have you checked with TV Fool to find what the distance is from the ION network broadcast tower to your house?

Also, have you done this yet? http://www.dtvusaforum.com/dtv-hdtv-...rase-scan.html

Yes, I did the memory erase scan right after the transition. I'm getting everything that I'm supposed to except ION and WLIW.

I just checked TV Fool and it said
    WPXN-DT 31 (31.1) ION 0.9 LOS 84.8

So - if you will translate, please.

    Thanks!
    Susan
