What I know about. One is a business license that is not that expensive.
But then you have to pay inventory tax to the county, which can be dealt with.
Worst is insurance to the home owner.
You also have to watch really close how much mods you have to do to a house because you fall basically under Handyman rules, which aren't bad, but just this year they put about half the handymen out of business due to demand to have insurance.
Yea, from a modern homeowners perspective, I understand, but from a guy trying to start a company on peanuts you just about have to operate under the table until you can get big enough.
Ok, maybe I exaggerated, except I know a few handymen that got busted for not enough insurance, trying to work after being laid off. That seemed wrong to me.
