Default TV antenna for HDTV

We need a antenna to pick up local channels since our satellite company doesn't provide them. I'd like to get an indoor antenna if I can. Anyone have any recommendations?

Welcome to the forum

Well it's your distance from the TV stations that determine the type of antenna, and whether you can put it inside or outside. If you live closer, indoor antennas will work. If not you will need an attic or outdoor solution.

Step one is to go here: TV Fool

Put in your address and use 10 ft for the height which will give a good idea of in and out door signals.

Then you will see a bold link on the results page of which you are not expected to understand. Post that bold link back here and we can analyze your location from it. No exact address information is revealed.

Then we can say for certain the location and type of antenna you need.

Thanks for posting!
