Default DTV Reception Troubleshooting

Good afternoon everyone,
I'm have some signal reception issues and would greatly appreciate any help or advice. I live approximately 14 miles from major broadcast towers in Los Angeles, Ca. I've purchase a converter box (Tivax Model), connected it to my roof top antenna, and am intermittently receiving pixelated channels. Especially on the lower scale of channels. I replaced the cabling last week between the antenna and the converter box, and it was no easy task! So I think I'm good on coax and connections.

Again, any help is appreciated.

you may be experiencing ghosting which is cause by strong broadcast signals in the same area , sometimes two much can be bad for digital do you have a pre amp on the antenna? what type of antenna and what kind of signal are you getting. go to tvfool.com put in your address and post the info by looking at the strength of the signals and their location you can tell if there is a problem
