With under 40 days remaining until the June 12 switch-off of analog TV stations across the United States, Nielsen Media Research reports that 3.1 percent of TV homes in the U.S. are still not prepared for the DTV transition.
No there won't be another delay. There simply isn't the will in Washington to even bring the idea up.
If anything, this news points out how little good the original delay did. It is very clear, now, that those who remain unprepared generally intend to remain unprepared until they actually lose service entirely. No amount of prodding or prompting will get them to address the impending change.

Everyone's depending on that June 12th date to be the final digital transition. Some stations are waiting to boost their digital broadcasts to full power until they can shut off analog signals too. I say move on.
How much more operating cost would be stacked onto stations with another postponement??
