Mobile DTV: MediaFLO TV Coming to 15 new markets on June 12
FLO will be turning on mobile dtv service for 15 new markets on June 12 (including Boston, Houston, Miami and San Francisco). Service will be expanded in existing markets as well. An additional 24 markets will be added before 2010 reaching more than 200 million total potential customers.
The MediaFLOexpansion has been made possible due to the DTV transition freeing up parts of the broadband spectrum.

And the folks at Qualcomm have been angels about not making a big deal about the government's lack of good faith.

No, really very serious. They had standing to sue, and didn't, even though it cost them some business.

Cell phones, mobile tvs, handheld tvs, etc. It's going to solve the current dtv reception problem of trying to receive signals while traveling faster than 5 mph.

It's a shot in the dark for cell phone companies if you ask me. I spend more time on the internet now than watching TV. If I had a phone with internet capability and Mobile TV, i'd much rather be tapping away looking at news or weather on the internet then watching our local goofs doing the news.
