Default U.S. Olympic committee delays TV channel

The U.S. Olympic committee planned to launch a channel dedicated to Olympic news reports, commentary, interviews, documentaries, movies, and classic footage, as early as next year with Comcast Corp, but announced today that it has decided to delay the launch until they could straighten things out with the IOC.

Quote:
"In order to facilitate a productive dialogue, the USOC has decided to delay further development of the network until we have resolved all issues of concern to the IOC," USOC chief Larry Probst said in a statement.
The IOC had voiced disapproval of the channel because it had not been consulted during the planning process.
