The local CBS affiliate has not picked up TVGOS contract yet.

Hasn't worked in months down here in NE Miami-Dade. The diagnostics menu page indicates no host channel -- it had been CBS WFOR -- although there is a vertical blanking interval reference on channel 86. Still, no programming information. Any ideas?

CBS got their show titles back, but there's still no detailed info.

It sounds like your CBS affiliate may have recently updated the TVGOS hardware or software, which may have caused your current issue. TVGOS info is received slowly and it could take days to completely reload all the info.

I can't even get the TV guide on my screen. Still dealing with the engineers to figure it all out. One of these days it'll all be worth it

i normally get titles to the shows and that's it. hit 'info' or 'display' (converter dependent) it says 'no details' or 'no program info' which makes it hard to tell what episode is what.

case in point, i was watching '24' and thought i missed an episode but i couldn't tell what part was what since 'no details' and i had to go by the show's digital clock to tell episode/season (new season, episode two, meaning i didn't miss one)

I have not had TVGOs since early Feb when I suspect our analog cable provider, TDS Telecom, switched their off the air reception of our CBS affiliate to digital. I have confirmed via an email exchange with the engineer at the affiliate that they are broadcasting the TVGOS information in both their analog and digital signal.

TDS says they haven't done a thing, and that is probably true - but that is also the problem. It would appear they are not converting the TVGOS information and inserting it in the VBI when they are converting the video to analog to send down the analog cable.

I have called Panasonic, the manufacturer of my equipment, and they said they would contact Macrovision to see what could be done but that was weeks ago, and follow up calls only result in a "we are working on it" or "it takes time".

Perhaps it will all work out, but I am not hopeful.

It seems TDS doesn't care, Macrovision doesn't care and Panasonic doesn't care. Right now I am disgusted with all three.

Angry No TVGOS

I lost TVGOS back in December 2008 in the Buffalo, NY area on Time Warner Cable. The host channel carrying the data stream was the local PBS affiliate, WNED, who said they lost the contract to CBS. The local CBS affiliate, WIVB has not picked up the option to carry the data stream at this time. I have emailed TV GUIDE twice and left a message on their toll free phone number but have not received any answer as to when this may be resolved. I have a Pioneer PDP-4360HD plasma tv, an LG 42LB1DR lcd tv, and a Panasonic DMR-EH75V digital recorder, all with the TVGOS feature that doesn't work.

Regained TVGOS on the LG 42LB1DR on 05/01/09. Still no luck with the other two devices.

Have any of you tried setting the zip to 00000 overnight, then setting it correctly the next day? We once unplugged our TVGOS DVR for the night, plug it in the next day and everything's ok.
