I've got the RCA which is good but is DTVPal Plus the best with it's multi channel info?

The DTVPal Plus definitely has the best EPG. I own one and I'm happy with everything about the box.

One slight issue, no, two.

1)No buttons on front, I have to hunt for the remote.

2)In order for the EPG to work correctly, the shutoff function HAS to be turned on, the clock isn't that solid in it.

Other than that, it's perfect.

I've been unable to duplicate that bug. You're talking about the energy star auto shut off feature?
