Buying Used xBox - What to Check For?

I'm buying a used xBox today and want to know what to check for. If anyone could help me out, t'would be appreciated. It's a great price but.. not if it doesn't work properly.

Does it by any chance keep record of errors?

Nope, you don't want a used 360 anymore. Buy a new one for 199 and look for the jasper models and you should be fine. Buying used ones will likely have the Red ring of death and will pester you for all of your xbox 360 gaming life.
