I think the shortage is only part of Nintendo's marketing strategy, or maybe it's also because Wii's make such perfect gifts and are usually sold more on Holidays.

Wii is never that hard to find. This is Joe's gaming console but you can find it on many online sites and will deliver it to your doorstep.
