Ever looked up the lyrics to the Mash theme?
The song is called "Suicide is Painless" Suicide Is Painless - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Google "lyrics suicide is painless" and there are even Youtube of people singing the lyrics. One of those things I never even knew until 2 decades later

Right, that show is about the misery of war, set in a "meatball surgery" hospital. Antics are done by a few of the doctors, in an effort to break the drudgery of their solemn task. I liked it, even though some of the jokes were a bit out of my grasp at the time.

Never new that. Robert Altman's son was 14 when he composed it?? Some pretty crazy info in the Wiki article,

During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson in the 1980s, Robert Altman said that his son earned more than a million dollars for co-writing the song while he only made $70,000 for directing the movie.

It was a time shifted parody on Vietnam also. That show had a huge following out of my age group. Lucky I missed going with a lottery number of 263. Many of my buddies were not so lucky, and still are not "normal" decades later.
I wondered for years what they saw. I no longer want to know.

On a lighter note! Eight is Enough totally inhaled canal water through the dorsal orifice.

An interesting question. I watched a TON of TV as a child. And obviously watched what I liked. My dad watched a lot of golf (which I still find boring) and my brother actually liked watching bowling (what a goob).

I believe that the movie played the version with the lyrics, but I don't recall the TV show ever playing the original version.
