Completely agreed. It's usually the time of year that i buy TV series on DVD and catch up on the shows I didn't get to watch during the Fall.
What's with all of the end of the world shows this Summer?
I'm looking forward to Glee only because Jane Lynch is so darn funny in everything she's been in. I've been a fan of hers ever since Best in Show.
Wipeout - Dumb fun, saw some previews of it last night and the obstacles look harsher this year. They had an slightly (understatement) overweight lady being bounced around on those rubber balls that extend over a lake. The look she had on her face after she fell head first was priceless.
Medium - Season 3-4 was a bit disappointing but I still caught most of the episodes. Some of the different crime scenarios/paranormal events have been a hit and some of the others have definitely been a miss. The chemistry between Allison and her husband is bleh (only my opinion )
Psych - Watched an episode on a whim which comes on after Monk last year (Monk is A+ Psych = B in my book). It's pretty good, James Roday sells that role pretty well.
Merlin - Will have to check it out. Haven't heard any buzz about it,

My understanding is that only one episode of Glee is being presented before the fall (and that's being presented this month).

Isn't the target audience like 14 years old? It's a musical comedy. If we had an option for man points instead of rep points on here I'd be giving you a -2 today Mr Aaron.

The Goode Family (ABC) - May 27, 9pm

Saw some previews on this one last night. Looks funny. Animated cartoon about a family living the green eco friendly lifestyle. Created by Mike Judge (King of the Hill and Beavis and Butthead).

Has there ever been a TV show more aptly named than Glee? It both embodies and inspires exactly that quality. Yet if I tell you the show is about a high school glee club and features bursting-into-song musical numbers, you might react as I did initially: I wanted no part of that. I'm not a musicals kinda guy.
But this comedy from creator Ryan Murphy (Nip/Tuck) is so good — so funny, so bulging with vibrant characters — that it blasts past any defenses you might put up against it. Glee will not stop until it wins you over utterly. It's the story of Will (Matthew Morrison), a high school Spanish teacher who takes over a pathetic glee club filled with misfits.

Closer = my show
Medium = Wife Show
but we both can stand to watch the shows together which is a good thing.
Closer is pure cop drama and Kyra Sedgwick is still looking good. Has a much faster pace than Law and Order.

Well let's see --- the only new only I'm curious about is Glee, but it's a Fox show and I"m not sure if it will be over the top or not, but I'm going to give it a shot tomorrow night when it debuts.
I'm not a Burn Notice fan except that last season they had a great character named Victor, played by Michael Shanks, and I adored him. They killed him off (we think) in the finale. We assume he's dead, but there's been a lot of teasing about it, so you just never know on TV anymore. It used to be that it was just soap operas that played with stuff like that, but now death isn't really death if they don't want it to be.
I'll watch one episode of Bill Engall probably -- the one with NASCAR driver Carl Edwards. Edwards is actually going to act and not play himself, and I've just gotta see that! lol

True Blood's second 12-episode season starts on June 14, 2009. Good show, best way I can describe the drama type of it: one part scary, one part mystery, and one part comedy.
Edit: First season now available on Blu-Ray.
