I've seen a lot of comparisons to House, but I just don't see it. There are some common plot devices, but if anything they seem like deliberate and lame derivatives, rather than true parallels.

Mental is filmed in Columbia. There's a little trivia for the both of you there.

back to the conversation...I haven't seen House yetl, so I can't compare.

I stand by my first post, "Mental" is "House" in a Psych Ward. Similarities? Both doctors use "unconvential methods". Both have similar boss'. The only thing missing is the sarcasm that Hugh Laurie has perfected.

And the ability for the sound engineer to make the dialog sound like it isn't being recorded in a cardboard box.

I still find it interesting because I never knew that there are so much different mental illnesses.

This makes it interesting to me. Even if it is only a "House" in disguise.
