Last TV Show DVD you purchased? (Blu-ray, HD-DVD, or SD DVD)
Saw this posted on another forum and thought it would fit here well, in fact, we could turn it more into a kind of game.
1. What did you Buy?
2. Why did you purchase?
3. Did you watch any of the "extras" included on the DVD?

I have only ever bought two in my life. Both relatively recently in the last 2 years. Both SD version since I only have SD DVD player.
Both of them were the two PBS Crossroad Guitar Festival DVDs.
2004 in Texas
2007 in Chicago
Why? Because it was some of my favorite songs and favorite performers. Some that haven't been seen on video for years, some so old they may never be on video again.
I watched then end to end. But they didn't have traditional trailers. Just some commentary about the events.
Here is a video out take from the second DVD (2007).
If you don't like rock or blues don't bother.
YouTube - Susan Tedechi & Derek Trucks - Anyday
This second one she plays guitar.
YouTube - Little by Little Susan Tedeschi and The Derek Trucks Band

Nice Piggie, makes me want to pick up Green Day Bullet In A Bible CD/DVD that I've had on my wish list for a while.
OK, here's mine,
What? - The Office - Season Two
Why? - I am way behind with watching and I'm tired of catchng episodes here and there this season without knowing what the heck has been going on over the past 4 years. I've already watched the complete DVD, and I realy feel like the show improved much over Season 1. The numbr one reason why I bought was to watch final episode, when Jim confesses his love to Pam, and at that point, I'll buy season 3.
Extras - The outtakes are freaking hilarious on the DVD. If you're a fan of the show and the actors, you have to watch them.

I hate watchig reruns because it's so hard to tell if you are watching them in the correct order.
But can't you rent those type of DVD's? I would not watch then twice, where as music DVDs I do. I have nights where nothing is worth watching or just in the mood for music and watch them.

What did I buy?
Golden Girls Season 1 (Yes, I lost my man card years ago)
Why did I buy?
The fiance and I could sit and watch GG 1-2 hours a night 3 days a week and be just as content as watching anything on cable. We're big fans of "some" of the 80's shows.
Extras?
Haven't watch them yet.

Burn Notice - Season One
Bought last night and made it through 4 episodes. Love this show. Fans of Lucy Lawless from Xena: Princess Warrior will be happy to know that she makes a small guest appearance on it.
Brief synopsis, an ex-cia operative (Michael Westen) becomes a private investigator to earna living after receiving a "burn notice" which is a cia equivalent to a pink slip. It's a good show on the USA channel.
Haven't watched the extra's yet on the DVD but it looks like it has the typical cast/crew commentary which can be turned on during every episode.

1. What did you Buy? Actually a friend bought it for me -- the first complete season of Hawaii 5-0. Another friend just got me the first four seasons of That Girl. Someone else just gave me a couple of DVD sets they were through with -- Dead Like Me and Due South.
2. Why did you purchase? The That Girl friend knows I'm financially strapped and can't buy anything fun these days, so she gets me things to make me smile from time to time. The other gal is helping me to earn money by sending me dvds she's done with so I can review them (I do reviews online).
3. Did you watch any of the "extras" included on the DVD? I always watch the extras. They're oftentimes better than the dvds. Extras are a joy.

1. Smallville Seasons 1-7
2. To serve as filler between television seasons.
3. Nope: They're not closed captioned.
