It's hard to believe that it's been seven years since HBO and Playtone gave us Band of Brothers, a 10-part miniseries based on Stephen Ambrose's book about a company of paratroopers during WWII. I didn't (and still don't) have HBO, but I bought the DVD set and I absolutely loved it. It had violence and some profanity like its cinematic cousin Saving Private Ryan, so if HBO had not commissioned it, it would never have been made as well on network television.

Did anyone else ever see BoB or own the DVDs? Do you think Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks will ever work with HBO and make a similar WWII miniseries?
