This is the first I've heard of this. Looks like some kind of Australian site that broke the news, hopefully it's true and hopefully it'll be good.

...Several big names within the Australian industry (including writers from the Award-winning Love My Way and the Award-winning Secret Life of Us) have been approached by Star Wars uber-producer, Rick McCallum.
Love My Way and Secret Life of Us can be characterised by the focus on relationships and emotional landscapes (traditional 'chick shows', if you will). Bringing this element into the world of Star Wars sees a marked departure of the final three films and animated Clone Wars, where the primary audience was children.

Kind of hard to believe that Lucas is branching out like this, but if it's true, then I can't wait to see how this turns out.

The animated series Clone Wars was excellent, if underrated a tad. Though, I have to say that Lucas has been losing his edge. He still has a good chance of putting out a good series though, there's no denying that SW3 was quite brilliant.

Ahh, now this is cool. Glad to see something different from George Lucas. Hopefully he'll pick some characters based on acting skills this time.

Speaking of Star Wars Characters has anyone else saw any of the youtube Chad Vadar series? Now I could see that making it to a television pilot, it is pretty funny. Yea sure it isn't like Star Wars was meant to be But as parodies
go why this has not been picked up by SNL or Mad TV is beyond me

Never heard of that one, but the Star Wars Kid is absolutely hilarious on youtube if you haven't had a chance to see that video yet.

I haven't seen the the youtube version, I may have to give it a look. The prospect of a television series does sound promising. With George Lucas' talent for the major productions, it should be quite a coo.
