I missed the last few episodes of a new show on NBC called Southland. It is quite interesting. A mix between drama and comedy in some cases. I suggest it for anyone who is just bored. It is nothing ground breaking though.

My wife is recovering from some broken bones so we stuck close to home this weekend. We spent most of yesterday watching two of the five discs of Blade Runner the Complete Collection. Disc two is a set of featurettes on the making-of that lasted over three hours. Disc one had the director's final cut, remastered for Blu-ray. Fantastic.

Ouch.

Your wife watched Blade Runner? She's a keeper. I'm lucky if I can get my girlfriend to sit in the same room during a science fiction movie.

My wife's definitely a keeper, and for more reasons than that.

Seriously, we watch everything together.

Down to only one episode of Frasier at 9:00-9:30PM weeknights. it sickens me that MyNetworkTV decided that feldercarb 'TMZ' was more important than another Frasier and Everybody Loves Raymond (off the air completely now). i got so sick of that when Spike aired TMZ in place of my Star Trek.

not all men like that stuff!!! and sports are being broadcast on all networks but oh well TV isn't good for one's health anyways. more reasons to see my deer Daisy i guess. no commercials.

this on top of losing Black Sheep on RTV on saturdays. if they mess with Battlestar Galactica i'm really tossing the set. if only i could afford DVDs of every episode of every series i love. but there's tons.

So we ran out of recording to watch again. Not really; I mean we have a bunch of Criminal Minds episodes, and some Sarah Connor Chronicles episodes, and whole bunch of other crap (Impact, Breaking Bad, Make It Or Break It, Level 9, Meteor, Wolf Lake, Dark Blue, Colony, Storm, Listener) but that crap is there (still) because we don't like any of it, really. It's basically just waiting there to be deleted.

So we've picked up Ghost Whisperer, now being run on Syfy, ION and WE. It's pretty good, and will help fill the gaps this week and next. (Good thing it is on all three networks. Due to conflicts, neither Syfy nor ION broadcast each episode at a time when we will always have a free tuner. Between the two, though, rebroadcasting episodes the same week as each other, we'll only miss three episodes in the first season.)

We're still about 15 episodes short of what we need to make it until the fall season gets into full swing, so we're also watching Alias Season 1 on DVD.

I watched Ultimate Cake Off last night on TLC. Mmm cake. Some of the cake designs on that show are incredible. I forget how many hours they had to bake a cake 5' tall, something like 8, but all three of the contestants had problems finishing...even with a full crew of assistants.

Star Trek, "Charlie X" for the 10 millionth time. And left it running on PBS but only listened a little. TV was not big in the cards yesterday.
