Big Brother Axed!



Well, probably the Reality Show archetype has been put on a bus for a long time. Can't say I'll miss it though, I hate reality TV so much, I missed out on Lost because I thought it was a Reality show. XD

Honestly I hated that show. I watched just the first season and then stopped.

One down ... still too many more to go. Reality shows are anything but reality. The sooner people realize that, the better off we'll all be.

Mine also. I live in a reality show. I don't need to watch one. Just like I don't need soap opera.

If I could write novels, I have all the material I need right here in small town America. The story would include, sex, homo sexual, straights turning gay, lesbians, lesbians going back with their former husbands, drugs, lots of alcohol, wife beating, cheating, the local cougars that have had every young man in town (this is real!), stealing, robberies, jail, prison, birth, death, business ventures, business failures, recovering alcoholics, you name it.

It's going on right here in little town River City where I live. It's probably because of it being a small town but I see more of it here than I did living in the city. Then again, after 10 plus years, I know 20% of everyone that lives here, about 3000 folks.

Reality shows? Staged in front of a camera? Director? People don't know how films are made.

It's like the porn industry. If you saw a porn movie being shot, you would be surprised. First comments would be you mean they stop right there and take a break or bring in new lights? Same thing on reality shows.

Another one is can you imagine if Chef Ramsey in Kitchen Nightmares helped some one and they didn't fight his advice? If they old cook didn't walk out only to return than be ok?

It's all just wrestling matches. Staged and shot.

Remember Folks they said they were going to shop it around. In this economy, another network could easily pick it up and revamp. Big Brother was canned after season 1 and made a comeback, so anything is possible.

Season 1 was the best. It was actually an entirely different game than it is today. I often wonder how Curtis and Eddie, etc. are doing -- and the dog! I was so angry at them for not letting Curtis take the dog home.
