Default Does your dog or cat like to watch HD?

Our little fuzzy four legged family member loves to watch animal planet with us on Friday nights. He'll actually sit on the catch and watch for a minute or two at times and he absolutely does NOT like big tigers or lions. If he sees one on our screen, he'll get up and bark until it's gone. Anyway, I found this blog post about it What your pets really see on TV | Stuff.co.nz and thought I'd link to it here to see what you guys and girls think.

Thank you for that article. My cat loves to watch TV so much that I put my bedroom TV set on a timer to turn on for two hours a day while I'm at work. I'd leave it on for longer, but I don't want him becoming a couch potato!

When I first got my Toshiba 57" HDTV, all of a sudden a dog appeared on the screen. My nutty dog actually tried to jump in!

Thankfully, both the screen and the dog were OK. Scared the heck out of me.

After that she seemed to be thinking about it again from time to time but never jump in again. Not while anyone was home anyway.

And yes, she does watch at times.

Our dog does the same thing with our 32" CRT mounted high but not high enough in a TV cabinet. All I can say is thank goodness our CRT has a glass screen.

Our little old lady ( the one in my avatar) thinks always she has to work a sheepdog if she watches a sheep on the TV screen.
How do you explain to a dog that there is no sheep hiding behind the screen?

After being at the Northern Sea here in Germany she although reacts if she hear and sees sea-gull.

Mac our Border Collie is defending he living-room if there is a cat or another dog
on the TV screen. He excludes Rough Collies, Border Collies, Shetland Sheepdogs and Australian Shepherds from that "dog" feature. These he is admiring from my husbands seat (as long as my husband is not in the room).

My dogs like to watch TV a lot. Especially football, they usually get excited and bark when the Packers score, but I have a feeling they're not going to be doing that much this year.

My dogs loves to watched TV. They have favorites shows and would actually come running into the house if they heard the theme song. They would just sit there with their ears up and howled if there were other dogs howling or other animal noises. It's really funny to see them react to the characters.
