For like an NBC or Fox show like American Idol, say a show aired Tuesday night, how long does it take to appear on Hulu?

Currently there doesn't appear to be a set schedule. The Office and a few other programs usually air within a couple of days. I looked for American Idol a few times and was unable to locate it. So I'm not sure. Does anyone else know?

New episodes post 4-5am the day after air-date. So a show aired on Friday will usually get posted between 4 and 5am Saturday. A good way to find out when a new episode will get posted (this only works if limited trailing episodes are available) is to follow the oldest show's expiration time. When that show expires, a new episode will replace it.

Hulu plus is terrible at uploading episodes of modern family, for example. Hulu plus sucks, sucks sucks. You pay for it, ther are ads, and episodes of shows you actually want are available faster and in same/better quality on YouTube. Hulu plus, get bent.

I've noticed that Hulu has indeed been getting a bit worse with getting shows that just aired on their website. Anyone know why that is?

The key icon means you need to log in with "Your TV provider" (a cable or satellite company that has this "TV Now" service). Sometimes the episodes will be available to all Hulu users a few weeks later, but it varies greatly depending on the show.

This sounds dire. I stopped Hulu Plus a few months ago and, though it was exhibiting some of these problems then, it seems to have dropped off significantly since then. It's especially bad since uploading shows within a day of airing is their USP but they put so many restrictions and buffers between you and the shows, that you just want to give up!

Usually, it only takes a day for shows to get posted on Hulu. I watch a lot of shows there, and they are always up the day after they air.

Because it's a locked show. You either have to verify your television provider or become a member of Hulu Plus.

Is this still true? Episodes air the day after by night time?

It depends on the network and Hulu's agreement. I believe Hulu is owned by ABC, so you probably aren't going to get more popular shows from NBC and CBS and all the other stations they own on Hulu as quickly as you might see one from ABC.
I canceled Hulu plus quite some time ago. It was the same reason I cut the cable a few years ago. I don't mind ads, but I got tired of paying for an abundance of ads, and the ad amount on Hulu seemed to be growing. For the same cost per month I can pay for NetFlix or even Amazon and get the entire season when the DVD releases and watch it without ads. As stupid and even disgusting as some of these ads are getting, and also the total randomness that the networks seem to be airing new eps, it's worth the wait. Example: Marvels Agents of SHIELD came back from a two month holiday hiatus and aired one ep at the beginning of January. The next ep doesn't air till March. Blacklist just came back from a few months hiatus, they have two eps scheduled, but nothing showing after that. No wonder people are getting tired of it all.

I do t have any problems at all I love hulu saves me so much money it is a bummer about cbs shows bu I understand why some of these networks do what they do cable is becoming obsolete and they are trying to protect themselves and make money. Yes commercials are a bummer but thats how people make money.
