Default Internet TV for outside UScitizens?

Well, yesterday I tried to watch a film at "Hulu" and I got the message:

We are sorry, our video library can only be streamed within the United States...."

Yes, I know, my IP shows that I am not in US right now.

So is there anything else like Hulu for what I do not need to be in USA?

And it would be nice if I have not to pay for it.

You might be able to use a proxy or find a way to spoof your IP. I don't know how to do either, but a friend of mine in Egypt does that all the time. He's a right bastard when it comes to fighting the system. XD

Licensing requirements preclude viewing certain video content across national boundaries. Measures that would bypass restrictions put in place to ensure compliance with these licensing requirements are violations of the terms and conditions of use for such services.

yes, but if one theoretically wanted to watch hulu.com overseas, couldn't they use some kind of proxy website? theoretically speaking.

Given that it is a matter of legality, and specifically the protection of intellectual property, and I stay out of debt on the power of my employer's ability to protect the intellectual property I create for them, and thereby pay me a salary, I find it offensive to even speculate about the technical details of committing such transgressions.

I should have worded that differently and not in response to your post. My apologies.

Bicker is right stating it's not within the rules of the site to use a proxy.

However if you Google a little it's not rocket science. People in China for example do it all the time to view Western sites that are banned.

Hence to educate in specifics here is not a good idea. But to say it's possible, sure it is.

And as with many things it's perfectly legal to talk about how to do it. Doing it may or maynot be within rules and laws. But I don't think it's proper for a DTV forum to explain how to do it.

Doesn't make it illegal or immoral to say that it is possible to get by many gatekeepers by using a proxy. Using it is what should be offensive, not talking about it's existence.

No: Using it would be transgressive. Facilitating people doing it, by instructing them how to, is offensive. The law is objective. What one finds offensive is subjective.
