Default Need help with Mobile DTV

I'm looking for something to replace my old Sony portable TV. I originally used this TV during power outages but I can't really do that anymore since the switch to DTV. I'd also like to get something that's small enough that I can take with me and watch during fishing trips.

A couple I'm looking at: Amazon.com: Axion AXN-8701 7-Inch Widescreen Handheld LCD TV with Built-In Tuner, Black: Electronics and http://www.amazon.com/Haier-HLT71-7-...dp/B001E78UQY/ only have batteries that last for 2 hours.

Is there another unit that'll go any longer without having to charge the batteries so often?

Default Mobile/Portable DTV

Try Radio Shack:

Haier® 7" Portable Handheld LCD DTV: Haier® 7" Portable Handheld LCD DTV - RadioShack.com

AUVIO™ 7" High-Resolution Portable Digital TV
AUVIO™ 7" High-Resolution Portable Digital TV - RadioShack.com

Another choice is an add-on DTV (ATSC) tuner for your PC:
Hauppauge is the best known in the U.S.: Hauppauge Computer Works.

Also, in 2010 you'll start seeing mobile handsets and netbooks/laptops with integrated ATSC mobile DTV tuners.

cschuck has a couple of good recommendations. You may wan to also check out the new dtv mobile standard: ATSC-M/H which will be released in a few select areas of the US in a couple of months. I think the portable TVs with an ATSC-M/H tuner will probably have better battery life and function properly while driving (unlike the current batch of ATSC TVs).

This is just my opinion, but I say wait it out for ATSC-M/H. At least wait to see if it's in your area and how good it performs.

Do we know yet if ATSC-M/H tuners will simultaneously tune regular ATSC channels and ATSC-M/H channels? For example, in my area the local ATSC channels might be 9-1 and 9-2 and then the ATSC-M/H might be 9-3.
