DirecTV’s “Super Saturday Night” Super Bowl 2013 party to feature Justin Timberlake

On February 2nd, for the first time in over five years, memorable Super Bowl performer, Justin Timberlake, will give a concert at DirecTV’s pre-Super Bowl party at the DTV Superfan Stadium in New Orleans.

DirecTV NewsDuring the 2004 Super Bowl halftime show, you might remember, Justin was a player in Janet Jackson’s infamous wardrobe malfunction that bared her breast to the world. Ooops!

This year however, Justin’s performance is not for adults more than it is for children. The concert is providing benefit to Shriners Hospitals For Children.

This special invitation only event at the Mardi Gras World tent comes just after the public-open 7th annual DirecTV Celebrity Beach Bowl. No tickets are available for this special performance, and as DirectTV warned in a press release, any tickets being sold online are fakes.

Spending several years on the acting scene, and busy tying the knot with Jessica Biel, Justin is getting back into the music scene with this performance and his first single “Suit and Tie,” featuring rapper Jay Z, from his upcoming album, “The 20/20 Experience.”

“It was a very special evening,” Timberlake says in regards to the wedding, which took place at Borgo Egnazia resort in Puglia, Italy. “It was a total fantasy experience,” Biel adds.

“It was an original piece I wrote specifically for the evening and for her,” Timberlake says of the song he wrote just for the wedding day, and sang to his bride-to-be and she walked up the aisle.

Many performers can be seen and heard at other Super Bowl related events including Lil Wayne, Pitbull, Flo Rida, Stevie Wonder, Tim McGraw, Rascal Flatts, Journey, Train and Nelly. Justin Timberlake, however, will always remain the original pop star, and likely the only one to ever instigate a boob-flash of a Jackson in front of millions.
