"(Reuters) - Pushing for U.S. regulatory and congressional action to free up airwaves to handle the burgeoning use of wireless devices will be the top policy initiative of the consumer electronics industry in 2011, the head of a trade group said on Tuesday."

I could be mistaken, but I am pretty sure this is the group that is supplying the FCC with the current spectrum crunch numbers.

Between smartphones and netflix, there isn't going to be any room on the wireless spectrum in a couple of years.
