Question Replacement remote control

I have a Pioneer vsx-d466s receiver. It was left by the previous owner. It works great, but it's missing the remote. Heaven forbid my family members have to get up and turn a knob! Anway, I've been searching around, and a replacement remote costs about $100 and up! Does anyone know if there is something cheaper out there? Can I rig a universal remote to do it?

Probably could, but most universal remotes are pieces of utter crap. You're better off saying "Get up and turn the knob" instead of forking out $100 for a remote. I don't get the price tag though, I could buy a lot of movies with that money.

sheahasu, Welcome to the DTVUSA Forum. You can use a Dish Network remote. They are approximately $15.00 second hand, but new. I have found them for sale on eBay, local online classified ads and craigs list. You would program the aux. Here are the following codes for the Pioneer VSX-D466S receiver.
658,667,668,679,702,767,770,772,779,802,806 or 844
Good Luck!
