Default System on a budget
What is the best system or type of system to get when you are on a strict budget? I love electronics but I seriously can't afford to buy a ton of stuff.

On a budget, I'd look at some HTIB's by Sony or Yamaha. Check out Bicker's thread for some sub $750 HTIB's The Next Great Inexpensive Home Theater

It really depends on what you want. Do you need a DVD player too? Speakers? Receiver? TV? Wires? Give us your room dimensions too if you get a chance.
