Default Can an analog television display the picture from a digital camcorder?

I have a circumstance where I want to display the signal from a digital camcorder through one of the small 7 inch battery powered analog televisions.

Will it work through an A/V or USB cable or are digital signals completely incompatible with analog displays?

Thank you

John

Does your camera have RCA (what you are calling A/V) outputs? If so, then yes.

So long as it has either a composite or external (Coaxial) input or you can use a RF Modulator (that allows non-composite input compatible TVs to have them) it should be no different than using a Converter box with it.

With a portable TV, you may need an adapter to use a normal input with it, as they normally have 1-7/8" headphone jack style inputs usually labeled 'Ext Ant' among other names. you can find those at Radioshack, and some even convert that to a audio/video composite connector, thereby eliminating the need for an RF modulator.
