i had applied for (2) TWO on the following date 6/2/2008 and was confirmed with a mail out date of 6/27/2009
Well i NEVER recieved it, and i called to inquire the where about and how long it will take and was greeted by a very NASTY employee who would not answer my questions, just told me to go to the website.
I ask you to replay your phone recordings to hear for yourself what was said.
Anyhow, i was told by another employee after i called back right after the first employee HUNG UP on me after being RUDE to me, and was told to send a email instead.
PS
PLEASE NOTE i would like very much to put in a consumer complaint against the first employee for her rudness in answer and hanging up. It was some female from india with a squeaky voice that i had a hard time understanding. Seems like she was in a bad mood when she first answered the phone and took her frustration out on me. I will also be sending in a complaint to the BBB today.
i was told to send a email to this email address: customersupport@dtv2009.gov
which i emailed today 12/07/2008
ALSO NOTE i recieved the coupons on 12/06/2008 seems that they where delivered to wrong address by postman.

No questions here in cold Oklahoma City, just send me a notice when I can do something about these expired coupons for my converter box. I cannot imagine why the government would put a 90 day expiration date on these coupons anyway, they should have been usable at least until January 31st, 2009. PC

I have to say that the promotions of these coupons amounted to consumer fraud. I asked for one, after never having seen a single ad or announcement that it would take three months to arrive. And that it had an expiration date. Now, in my case, after having long since given up on them, I chanced to be out of town working when my coupon arrived. I returned a day after it had expired. No one asked me if they could have an expiration date. The second one I asked for took more than three months to arrive. In fact, I suspect that the evidence for fraud in this programme would be that it seems to explicitly say that the coupon will expire three months after being sent. Which means that it should have expired two or three days before it even arrived. It expires in February.
I was helping out a friend, and ordered his coupons. They took three months to arrive.
And then there was that intrusion last night. The unsought for interruption on all channels for the people that must be either too stupid or too poor to have taken the hint from the incessant advertisements for the DTV change-over. Who do I send the bill to for that instrusion?

Or better yet, why have an expiration date at all, knowing this is the only way we will be able to watch TV, unless you have cable. truly a joke by the gov.

I too feel it's a waste to have an expiration date on the cards, before the changeover takes affect. Somebody is trying to make some money somewhere down the line.

I ordered my coupons as soon as I heard about the program, not realizing they would have an expiration date. They included a list of suppliers with the coupons; unfortunately, not one of the suppliers had converter boxes in stock! Radio Shack, included, stated they wouldn't be making them available until later in the year.
I wasn't able to use the coupons, which expired on June 3. I was never able to find a supplier who had the converter boxes for sale. I, too, believe this is just another scam.
The DTV2009 website indicates they won't reissue coupons for any reason. I think that, at this point, I would throw my useless old t.v. in the trash before I would pay full price for a converter box. The government needs to honor their program.

We too, did not receive our cards in a timely manner. When we finally did, noone in our area had any in stock. This wasn't an easy feet either since we live a good 40 minutes from most major retailers. We went on vacation for a few weeks and then quite honestly forgot about them. When we took them out a few weeks ago, we discovered the cards had expired. While I admit it is our fault for not noticing the expiration date sooner, I am outraged that we are being mandated by the government to make this switch and yet they aren't ensuring there is good stock available, nor are they taking any measures to helping consumers who have lost or never received coupons. Had this been a retailer pulling this stunt, you know heads would fly. I agree this is a SCAM of the greatest proportions.
