Your best bet might be purchasing a universal remote; they tend to be configurable to be used with most major brands of televisions.

I believe he lost the remote to his magnovox converter box. which is kind of necessary since Magnovox didn't seem to think having any control functions on the actual box would come in handy. By jodi, Magnovox converter boxes are among the worst you could get. I think a lot of the issues with DTV reception is that fact that a large amount of people got their converter boxes at wal-mart which only sold magnavox and RCA both of which suck.

I don't know about Magnavox and RCA but I can tell you that if you're in a difficult reception area, the dtv converter can make a difference. I have Apex, Tivax and Channel Master boxes in an area that has multiple reception issues. For all the good press the Tivax received, I expected better. Turns out the Channel Master is noticeably better at grabbing and holding signals, with far fewer dropouts, and the picture is better. I'd like to pick up a few more but the few I've seen recently seem a little pricey, especially compared to the coupon price a few months ago.

To receive digital television over-the-air, you will need one digital tuner for each analog television or VCR that you want to feed converted broacasts into.
