DTV Helpers: Get a free DTVAnswers hat or water bottle from the NAB!
I was channel surfing and I saw a show on KOCE about setting up a DTV converter box, as well as other digital options.
They say if you write them a letter, in about 200 words, how you helped someone with the DTV transition, they'll send you a free light orange DTVAnswers water bottle or sun visor hat.

I found an error in the closed captioning of this show: the closed captioning reads "$50 coupon" instead of the actual $40 coupon spoken. Was this the original coupon amount, or was that a typo?

Was definitely a typo. I've seen some pretty bad captions before on some shows with huge mistakes, and I've often wondered what the hiring standards are for the captioners.

Sometimes I wonder just how much we actually help when about 40% of the people don't return and respond to our answers.

Oh, I think we're making a great effort and I guess I could look at it on the brighter side of it; if people don't come back and ask more questions, then they may have had success with our suggestions.
