Yes, the transition is still planned for June 12, 2009. I have not seen any other information or news that says otherwise.

I don't think you'll get very far with that one but you can try sending the FCC an email at dtvinfo@fcc.gov

I'm quite sure it's a done deal this time around. We're just days away, and the numbers don't really support putting it off again. Though there are issues with acquiring a decent converter box, it's doubtful that it's enough to cause a change.

Considering it costs about $20,000 in electricity alone for a single station to stay on the air in analog for just a month, you can try but think about the comparison. You don't have a converter box, if you still don't have a coupon, that is about a month wait.

They are shutting them off in 10 days.

We're 10 days away now. I'd say there's about a .1 % chance of the transition getting postponed.

I can't wait. It should help some of my co-channel problems.

Skip has been intense here on VHF the last day here in North Central Fl. I saw WTOC analog this morning as late as 11 am. 174 miles. Impressive for DX, but heck on watching local VHF channels.

The skip has been all VHF lately Trip. Plus since I took down the 4221A and put up the U-75R, I don't see much except to the west on UHF, which is what I wanted.

What I need to do, thinking about it seriously is selling my two 4221As, extra combiner, a 1080 I have and using the money to buy a 7698P and put it on the tower with a rotor, but just feed my computer with it for DX. I could pay for a chunk of the antenna, if I could find someone to climb , well and buy a rotor and another amp. ouch! This idea is getting expensive just to hunt skip.
