Default Post June 12th, 2009: What you need to know!

I've seen a lot of posts lately asking about TV stations digital broadcast power levels and etc. How about a sticky on some need to know topics?

1. Some stations are "nightlighting", meaning that they are continueing to broadcast analog signals for up to 30 days after the transition. See this thread: Analog transmissions to continue after the final DTV transition or this one for more info: http://www.dtvusaforum.com/everythin...html#post17336

2. Rescan your converter boxes for channels after June 12th, 2009 - Stations are going to be jumping channels or frequecies/UHF to VHF. If you had a digital station before the transition, and it's no longer available, rescan your converter box for channels. I'm not sure how long after the transition that stations are going to be moving around, maybe Piggie or Trip can answer this better.

Anyone can add to this thread!

DTV Answers : What you need to know about the June 12, 2009 switch to DTV.

plus the NAB "nightlight" video running in most major cities

So tell me again why we need ANOTHER thread on this topic?
