Are we poor and stupid? (Over-the-air Article)

I have no idea about the credibility of examiner.com, but this isn't the first time we've seen a rediculous article from one if it's writer's. A few quotes from it,

Quote:

The long-awaited switch from analog to digital TV took place last Friday, and if you're like most people, you weren't aware of it.
But if you are poor and/or stupid, you've probably had a rough weekend.

THEN.

He goes on to quote a statistic,

Quote:

The largest volume of calls came from the Chicago area...

to which he responds...

Quote:

No surprise there. Obama's been educating Chicagoans for years. The rest of America has a long way to go to catch up.

Now, quickly glance at the statistics of the calls answered on June 12, 2009 by the FCC.

Quote:

Of the 317,450 calls the FCC logged on Friday, about 30 percent were about converter boxes. The majority of those calls were resolved when agents instructed consumers to re-scan their boxes to pick up digital channels. About 20 percent of the calls were in regards to reception troubles.

All political associations aside (and I am far from Liberal), what do you guys think of this article? Fo you agree? Would especially like to hear from DirecTV customers with no local programming.

Mr Martin is proof that medical marijuana should be outlawed. At the very least he should refrain from using it before writing an article. The writer sounds like Obama without a monitor in front of him. He was wandering aimlessly punching buttons on his keyboard, not making much sense. He does have a catchy headline though.
