Huge I think, period. It's my opinion. To me your opinion won't change that.

Mathematically that was over 1/3 of the channels gone. I third of anything gone is a lot of something gone.

I didn't discuss politics. I discussed economics. Now was I biased? Darn right biased.

I am biased against corporate America running the country. I am not anti business or I would not own a business.

Wait a second, I thought that political discussion was fine as long as it had to do directly with the topic. Or can we not talk about matters with the FCC and Coupon program now???

There is a difference between "my coupon hasn't arrived" and insinuating that corporations and/or the FCC are evil, and/or beholden to China.

Both of mine did arrive and I used them.

Here is to the corporations, most of them are greedy, much more so than in the past. That is not a political statement. Not insinuatory but direct. There are exceptions of course, but never in my life have I seen them this greedy.

FCC isn't evil, they are bought and sold by lobbyists, and not smart in general.

And we are beholden to China.

As we grow hair,
In our submarine.....

In another 5 minutes, some one else's opinion will present itself below mime.

You were a little off Piggie, and Tim's post was more of a clarification than an opinion. Well, ok, it's an opinion too.

How so?

And are you implying that "free OTA channels" can't make money because they are "free?"

Both ThisTV and RTV are now carried on many cable systems due to their exposure on ota channels and not the other way around.

Same thing goes for Universal Sports. In fact one of the requirements for putting Universal Sports on a local ota station is that the local station must get them coverage on the local cable system. If that station can't do it then US can void the contract and go with another station in the same market that may be able to.

Sounds to me like in this day and age ota is the way to go for any new network that hopes to be profitable via ota and cable.

Bicker (and I'm not picking on you, I just want proof) always seems to discuss how profitable cable and satellite companies, yet DirecTV isn't exactly doing so well with earnings. Is there any evidence or direct comparisons on the net about OTA earnings and cable and satellite providers? Do the large networks distinguish how much profit they earn off of OTA compared to cable, or are we limited to ThisTV and RTN earnings?
