Are there any major differences between a PS3's Blu-ray drive and a newer Blu-ray player like a Sony or Samsung? I already have an XBOX 360 so I'm trying to decide if I really need another video game system too.
Not sure about your actual question but one thing you may want to consider if you're pretty hardcore about Home Theater is that the new PS3 Slim has Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD now unlike the original PS3.
Not really, but the PS3 isn't really built to run Blu-Ray movies. You're better off buying one or the other. But if you play movies and games, then by all means buy the PS3
Oh, and they're coming out with a new PS3 model soon, I'd wait for that.
