Hi Jay,

Yes, the coax looks like that. It's just the wire in the coax is too wide for the hole in the antenna in/out on the vcr. And, yes, I have both the antenna in/out and the three colored connectors.

If you're interested, I have detailed information as to what types of connections I have on my vcr/dvd player and my tv on an earlier post (dated 11/17) and how it's currently set up.

Thanks.

Hi again,

Here's a picture of the back of my vcr/dvd player. It might be hard to see because it's overexposed and my batteries died as I was trying to adjust the lighting.

A picture's worth a thousand words.

So it looks like you're already using the "antenna in" on the very far right for some other type of connection? What device is connected to that input?

I'm assuming the output connection on the far right bottom is going to the television set?

Yes, the 'antenna in' has the antenna (internal, not external) connected there. And the antenna out on the dvd player goes to the tv set.

remove cable from the antenna in on the dvd and run it to the converter box then run the to tv from the converter box to the antenna in on the dvd should work like a charm. leave the to tv on the dvd hooked to the tv.

Hi,
Just wanted to check in and let you know that I'm out of town so I haven't been able to try the hook up you recommended. I'll definitely keep you posted as to whether that worked or not. Thanks!
