'Catching Fire' picks up where the first Hunger Games movie left off. Katniss Everdeen is depicted returning home after she won the 74th Annual Hunger Games with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Since they won the games, the couple is required to conduct a “Victor’s Tour” of all of the districts of the Capitol. Throughout the tour, Katniss continues to detect the undercurrent of a rebellion growing; however, the Capitol remains fully in control of the government. During this time, President Snow is preparing for the 75th Annual Hunger Games that is also referred to as “The Quarter Quell.” The 75th Games will likely be a competition that will change Panem forever.

'Catching Fire' is rated PG-13 due to various, intense sequences of action and violence, suggestive situations, language, and thematic elements by the Motion Picture Association of America.

I still need to see the first of this series. Remember the days when almost all sequels were "2", "3", or labeled like that? I had no idea there was already a sequel to the Hunger Games already. Sad, but shows how much I actually get out.

Thomas, Yeah it can get confusing for some of the movie sequels out there today! You can go ahead and get the first Hunger Games movie while you're at it so you can watch both if you're going to take the plunge Watch out though...you might find yourself buying the books next!

Ok, since I've gotten asked for this a number of times now (my fault for not including in the article)...here is the Redbox Instant link: Watch Movies Online at Redbox Instant by Verizon if you stuck out at the Kiosk (Redbox) or just want to sign up for the service!

Dang Sully! I would have been pretty upset with myself if I did that !!!! We watched it last night, great movie. I liked it better than the first one. It is LONG though...a shade over 2.5 hours, so make sure you budget the time for watching it!

Here's the thing about Hunger Games. It's a complete ripoff of a great Japanese movie made in 2000 called Battle Royale which was actually based on a book released a year earlier. Seriously, try to rent it if you can. Actually I think the whole movie is on YouTube right now.

Oh, I'm not under any illusion that much if any of our movies made in today's age are based on super original stories wrt themes, etc. The Japanese movie sounds pretty cool (Battle Royale). I'm going to check it out when I have a chance! Maybe I'll test out our YouTube app on the DVR for it once the kids are in bed!
