I would like to know if it is possible to hook-up my DVD/VCR combo unit so that I keep a "true" stereo audio effect. Listed below are the specifics:
RCA/Venturer Converter Box - Model STB7766G1
Sylvania DVD/VCR Combo - Model DVC840F
Magnavox TV - Model 20MS3442/17 (possibly made by Philips?)
To start, I've hooked up the RF cable from the converter box to the combo unit (ANT-IN).
On the rear panel of the combo, there are 3 sections: DVD, DVD/VCR, VCR.
Within the 1st section (DVD), there are 4 selections:
- DIGITAL AUDIO OUT 1 AV jack (black)
- AUDIO OUT 2 AV jacks
- S-VIDEO OUT 1 s-video jack
- COMPONENT VIDEO OUT 3 AV jacks
Within the 2nd section (DVD/VCR), there is only 1 selection:
- AUDIO OUT 3 AV jacks
.VIDEO OUT (yellow)
Within the 3rd section (VCR):
2 AV jacks
.AUDIO IN (white)
.VIDEO IN (yellow)
Assuming I'm using the 3 AV cables (white/red/yellow) out of the converter box, where would the Right audio channel (red) go to?
(The hookup from the DVD/VCR combo to the TV is okay using the 2nd section described above.)
I hope I've explained this correctly. Please let me know if/how it is possible.
