When reading the various news sites about the NBA draft, the 2014 NBA draft is going to be one of the deepest in recent memory. Partly due to the impact of the “One and Done” eligibility rules, and partly due to the available talent, 2014 is one of the first years where the draft promises a number of players who have the potential to be superstars in the NBA. Some of the more highly touted prospects in this year’s draft include Andrew Higgins, Julius Randel, Jabari Parker, and Joel Emibiid. This year also features a highly touted international prospect, Dante Exum who has declared for this year’s draft. It remains to be seen of course if the 2014 class will stand up to the test of time; however, the class will be the most hyped in recent memory and since the current NBA draft eligibility rules have shaped the face of both college basketball and the draft.
