Account credit not received after transferring billing responsibility - DirecTV

My husband and I used to have separate ATT accounts. We consolidated or billing responsibilities early Sept. His cell account had $9 balance. ATT promptly forwarded it to a collection company after 1 week of past due. Because that account was closed, I didn't know where to pay! So we paid that off, with some penalty.

Now, the old Uverse account has $149 credit. I was assured that would be sent by check "soon". It has yet to be received. It has been 2 months!

I really wish I had choices of service providers!
